"atp award 2015" goes to Cluster-Scientists
Congratulations to both CoE-scientists Sebastian Stemmler from the Institute of Automatic Control (IRT) and Oliver Adams from Werkzeugmaschinenlabor (WZL) for winning the "atp award 2015".
They have been honored for their contribution “Self-optimizing Production Systems – the Application of Model-based Predictive Control” in the journal “atp edition” in the category “Science” on June 7, 2016. In this paper, results from the Cluster of Excellence subproject Self-optimizing Production Systems were presented and demonstrated that model predictive control is a promising approach for the realization of self-optimization. The journal “atp edition” addresses scientific topics with the aim of encouraging an application in practice. The best entries in the categories “Science” and “Industry” from the contributions of a year are awarded. The atp award was presented at the conference “Automation 2016” in Baden-Baden.
