17th IMEC (International Machine Tool Engineers‘ Conference) in Tokyo

Professor Fritz Klocke attended the 17th IMEC (International Machine Tool Engineers‘ Conference) in Tokyo from November 20 to 21, 2016. This year’s conference focused on the exploration of emerging technological innovations of manufacturing as the overall topic of interest. Within the framework of the conference, Professor Klocke participated as keynote-speaker to the topic of “Networked Production - Challenges and Potentials for Manufacturing” within the session “Key Technology for Smart Factory”. The Session foregrounded the most recent results concerning the challenges, opportunities and newest trends entailed by the issue “Industrie 4.0” in and outside Japan.
