Scientific Cooperation Engineering
Scientific Cooperation Engineering (SCE) aims at the interdisciplinary cross-linkage of scientific processes within the Cluster of Excellence (CoE). Furthermore, the evaluation of the performance concerning the organizational development within these research processes is addressed. Interdisciplinary cooperation takes on greater significance, especially in science: Central research questions are more than ever located at or between the boundaries of different cooperating disciplines. The growing dynamics and complexity emerging from interdisciplinary cooperation processes require new approaches to the cross-linkage of scientists and knowledge repositories. Focusing on a successful scientific cross-linkage interdisciplinary cooperation does not only have to be
shaped but also to be transformed into sustainable and robust structures. Therefore, the central research question of SCE can be posed as follows: “Which actions are necessary to support the transfer of highly complex, dynamic and interdisciplinary research cooperation of the CoE into sustainable and robust structures?”
