To contribute to future global challenges, RWTH Aachen University strives to attract open-minded individuals and a diversified research community. In this context, the CoE will actively integrate early career researchers into all research processes and create a framework that allows them to implement new topics, dynamics, and give them space for creativity. Investing in the education of early career researchers and their research work is key to a lasting development of the Internet of Production.

Our support program for early career researchers is tailored to distinct career levels: Students, Doctoral Researchers and Postdoctoral Researchers.

Young talents

The RWTH positions itself as an attractive employer brand with high international visibility. The incentive is not only an outstanding infrastructure, but also a wide range of appealing career opportunities for ambitious young talents.

RWTH Aachen University awards scholarships for travels grants and scholarships for research stays at RWTH AROP and promotes and deepens bilateral relations with foreign partner institutions. Furthermore, RWTH Junior Principal Investigator Fellowships enable young talents to further develop and deepen their individual research profile. The tenure track professorship is aimed at promising young researchers who are offered the prospect of a fair and transparent career.

In addition to the respective professional knowledge, the ability to work together across disciplines is essential. The academic career offers the opportunity to pursue one's own field of research and to build a strong network, as well as the further development of the T-shaped profile.
