With PROTECA, the SME technology transfer of the IoP was again able to present itself as a member of the competence cluster ProduktionNRW to interested visitors at the NRW state community stand. The Hannover Messe 2023 focused on trend topics such as CO2-neutral production, energy management, Industry 4.0, AI & machine learning as well as hydrogen & fuel cells. The partner country of the Hannover Messe was Indonesia, which is by far the largest economy in the ASEAN region.

North Rhine-Westphalia's Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection Mona Neubauer and NRW's Minister for the Environment Oliver Krischer visited the NRW joint stand at the start of the world's leading trade fair for industry on Monday. "Solutions for a networked and climate-neutral industry are central innovation topics for companies and research institutions from North Rhine-Westphalia. Here in Hannover, we can see how production and production processes can be designed to be future-proof, digital and sustainable [...] With their innovative solutions, companies from North Rhine-Westphalia are among the drivers and pioneers of the industry of the future - and I am very pleased that so many companies from North Rhine-Westphalia are taking advantage of the opportunity and showing a broad public how innovative North Rhine-Westphalia is", emphasized Minister Mona Neubauer in her press statement on her visit to the trade fair.
