The 86th GAMM 2015 has taken place from march 23 to 27, 2015, in Lecce (Italy).
With Roland Siegbert and Markus Frings from the Chair for Computational Analysis of Technical Systems (CATS) two employees of the Cluster of Excellence Integrative Production Technology for High-Wage Countries were participating in this year’s GAMM 2015. The GAMM is the annual specialized conference of the International Association of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics. More the 700 scientists from all over the world were joining from march 23 to 28, 2015, in Lecce (Italy). On one of the leading conferences for Computational Engineering and Applied Mathematics the research topics of our Cluster of Excellence must not be missing. “The GAMM is an important conference for us – and it is nice to see, that we as a Cluster of Excellence are state of the art with our research topics”, says Roland Siegbert. With two lectures about “Optimizing Free-Surface Flows and Die Swell in Die-Based Manufacturing Processes Using Numerical Optimization" and "Simulating Free-Surface Flows with Moving Boundaries: Combination of an Interface-Tracking and an Interface-Capturing Approach" which are topics of the research activities of our two scientists the Cluster of Excellence was represented on this conference.
