Inauguration Cluster Photonics

In the course of this year’s AKL2016 the inauguration of the new “Cluster Photonics” took place on the Campus Melaten. The “Cluster Photonics”, which is one of six starting clusters on the RWTH Aachen campus, is specialized on the research and development of procedures for the creation, shaping and utilization of light, especially as a tool in industrial processes. The light or rather the laser beam can be regulated and guided precisely compared to other tools.
The “Cluster Photonics” includes two centers: The Aachen Center for Additive Manufacturing (ACAM) and the Center for Digital Photonic Production (CDPP).
