Topping-out ceremony Center Digital Photonic Production

On May 25, 2016, the building and real estate management authority of the Land of North Rhine Westphalia (BLB NRW) and the RWTH Aachen University celebrated the roofing ceremony for the Center Digital Photonic Production (CDPP) in the cluster “Photonik”. Thomas Rachel as the Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Education and Research underlined the importance of the new scientific campus for Aachen as a leading place for production technology. The tenor of the event was “Light as a tool” which would play a main role. The research complex is a next step for the growth of the Campus Melaten. According to the scheduled plan, the building will be ready for occupancy in the middle of 2017.
