Book release: Integrative Production Technology - Theory and Applications
From now on the new extensive general survey about the Cluster of Excellence’s research results is available in bookstores.
More than 25 institutes and research facilities from the fields of production, materials engineering, economics as well as the natural and social sciences cooperatively work on sustainable solutions to ensure the future viability of production technology in Europe. This process occurs in the framework of the DFG sponsored Cluster of Excellence “Integrative Production Technology for High-Wage Countires” which was initiated in October 2006. The book provides an overview over the 2nd funding period, lasting from 2012 until today, and contains both deterministic models of integrative product creation chains as well as cybernetic models of production systems. The CoE’s research encompasses five research areas: Individualized Production, Virtual Production Systems, Integrated Technologies, Self-Optimizing Production Systems and Cross Sectional Processes.
