Colloquium for Employees 2017
On May 9, 2017, the first colloquium for employees was held at Nell-Breuning-Haus in Herzogenrath with Dr.-Ing. Matthias Brockmann as the new chief executive of the cluster. In this context, the about 80 employees had the opportunity for a personal and functional exchange.
After the new chief executive had given a short welcoming speech, the employees could choose between different Mircrotrainings, which have been organized by cluster-researchers and addressed CoE topics, so that the staff could learn about the variety of cluster-topics and –sub-areas. Afterwards, the afternoon was arranged under the main topic “Internet of Production”, under which the new Cluster of Excellence-phase in 2019 is going to start and which represents the leading theme for this year’s AWK. In several working groups, the participants developed solution approaches for potential Use Cases and subsequently presented them to the rest of the staff. Appropriate to the summary temperatures the day was completed with a collective barbecue in friendly company.
